Yolmo Adventures is a trekking agency founded and run by Hyolmo people from Melamchi Ghyang — one of the oldest and most sacred villages in Nepal's Helambu region.

We are not a Kathmandu office that dispatches guides into the mountains. Our founders grew up walking these trails. Our guides speak the Hyolmo language, know the names of every peak from childhood, and can tell you which monastery was built by which lama six generations ago. When you ask about the cave above the village, they don't consult a guidebook — they take you there themselves.

Tourism in Nepal is often a one-way transaction. We believe it should be a relationship. Every trek we run is designed to be genuine hospitality, genuine culture, genuine wilderness and the money you spend stays in the communities you walk through. Your porter's salary, your teahouse bill, your guide's income: all of it flows back to the valley that made this experience possible.

  • True local Knowledge

    Our guides are Hyolmo people. They know which families live in which house, which elder to ask about the monastery's history, which path avoids the afternoon weather. That knowledge cannot be hired from Kathmandu.

  • Community -first tourism

    Every rupee from your trek circulates in Hyolmo villages paying local guides, local porters, local teahouses, and local schools. We don't extract value from the valley. We reinvest it.

  • Small groups, real experience

    We take a maximum of 12 trekkers at a time. No conveyor-belt tourism. You eat with your guide, meet the monks, attend the morning prayers if you wish. The experience is yours.
